I've been using the Atra from my college freshman "care package" since Sept 1979. I've been to 2 drug stores and 2 grocery stores looking for blades. Not happy with Gillette! Time to listen to us!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Desperately Seeking Atra ATRA PLUS IS THE ONLY BLADE FOR ME
My brother gave me my first razor in the early '70's - a Gillette Atra with a metal handle. He said "take care of it and it will be the only razor you'll ever need." Over 40 years I have cleaned and maintained the handle, and he has been correct about it being the only razor I would need -- up to now. My wife now tells me she is unable to find Atra Plus blades at any of our local stores, and that I need to switch to something else. Several years ago, I experimented with a Mach 3 razor she bought me, and it was wholly unsatisfying, so I kept using the Atra Plus. The Mach 3 was too springy and I could not press it hard enough against the skin to get a clean close shave, like the Atra Plus. I have read the other comments on this page, and I must agree -- with a loyal and dedicated fan base, Gillette should re-examine its decision not to support this superlative and economical shaving system. I implore you to bring back the Atra Plus -- it is the only blade for me.

I have used this product for 30 years. My local supermarket is not carrying the product anymore. I sure hope there was not a decision to discontinue the razor blades. I still have two metal razor that I use in home and for travel. I bought my kids plastic razors online but they do not last. This is my far the best razor I use so I hope they do not discontinue the blades.....JC

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillJ Atra is great, why not make the handles again?
You have a great product, please make the handles again. Many still use it, and you could have more customers if you sold them again.

I have tried all your other razors and have a box full of handles. Not a single one does as good of a job as Atra Plus. Bring it back, Bring it Back

Been using this system since 1984. I've tried all the Gillette products. I always come back to this. It's that simple. Wish you still made the handles, even if it was a limited run.

I have tried every Gillette razor that has come out and some others but I always come back to Atra. I can't find anything better!

Tragic that Gillette could not continue something with quality as a core aspect... other companies use this to distinguish themselves from their competition. Poor marketing decision.

I recently ran out of blades for my Atra Plus. I bought a Fusion but was never satisfied with the shave. Please continue to manufacture the Atra Plus blades.

Another example of the "new" thing not being as good as the old. Defend the corporate decision? At least they listened @ CocaCola when the "new" Coke bombed.

I have used the Atra since 1976 and have found nothing else that compares for closeness, comfort, and lasting power with my heavy beard. Now I can't find a retailer who carries them anymore!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hairy Larry We need an Atra Razor handle
I am not sure why you decided to no longer make a razor handle that obviously so many people like unless you think it looks outdated. If so, just make a new handle that uses the Atra blade.

Best ever. Used 30 yrs. only ever needed 2 handles. Hard to find blades these days. Please bring it back. Why do I need a cheap lightweight handle that gives a sorry shave. Bring it back.

My husband's Atra handle is barely usable and the blades are becoming hard to find. He has tried other Gillette razors but none gives him a shave like the two blade. Please bring the handles back.

I find the shaves from the Atra are smoother and better than from any three-blade razor I have tried. Gillette needs to revisit its decision to withdraw support for this excellent shaving system.

... have tried the 3 blade systems. Still prefer the Atra. Please bring back the original 1977 Atra handles!
And, please, don't patronize me with your Social Media Marketer upsells.
