Enzymatic Therapy Cold Sore Relief is a soothing cream that combines allantoin with a specially prepared base of Melissa extract (lemon balm). This formula helps to relieve dryness and soften cold sores and fever blisters. It also helps safely prevent, protect and soothe chapped, cracked or windburned lips.

When using this product

  • avoid contact with eyes
  • do not apply over deep or puncture wounds, infections, or lacerations. Consult a doctor.

Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens or does not improve in 7 days.

Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions

Apply liberally 2 to 4 times daily or as often as desired. For best results, apply at the first signs (burning, tingling, itching) of a cold sore or fever blister.

Inactive Ingredients

Benzyl alcohol, cetomacrogol 1,000, glycol stearate SE, lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) leaf extract 65-75:1), water, and white soft paraffin.

Excellent remedy I found this by accident on a sale table, and have used it ever since. I cannot say enough how I have tried so many other cold sore/fever blister remedies, and aside from nutrition (lysine, grapefruit seed extract, elderberry, avoiding nuts and chocolate, etc., eating nourishingly per bite, lots of water) and homeopathy, this is the *one* thing that I know I can apply topically and it works. Even if the blister decides to be ferocious, Cold Sore Relief tames it measurably, and if I leave well enough alone, and use it regularly, it really does what it says, shortens the duration, softens the scab, and I am left without scars.
