Natural Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste - Ginger
Let's start out by saying I LOVE ginger. i use fresh ginger root in cooking, juicing, tea and I love ginger candy and mints. Thought this toothpaste was a perfect fit. I gave it 2 leaves because it does clean your teeth well and doesn't contain any SLS, Xylitol, or Sorbitol - none of which I want in my toothpaste. However, this toothpaste tastes like foul, rotted ginger root. It's nasty tasting and the taste lingers in your mouth forever. I like their fennel toothpaste, but doubt I will even be able to use up this tube of the ginger. It's that bad.

This has a "funky" flavor which some may not like at all, but I like that this toothpaste is all natural with no SLS and no flouride. I like the fennel flavor better. It has a taste like licorice, so not a good flavor if you are used to mint.

Excellent! I like this flavor the best of all the fluoride free.

If you like the taste of ginger (which I do), then you will like this item. It contains concentrated ginger essence (oil) which comes through when brushing. Additionally, like all (or most I have encountered) Desert Essence toothpastes, there is NO FLOURIDE, or other harsh chemicals (e.g. parabens), and it is NOT animal tested. I think this is a great product, for the money.

DON'T BUY THIS
the taste if awful, and it left a terrible taste in my mouth. I also noticed people were backing away from me when I spoke to them.
DON'T BUY IT you won't be happy!!!

Great for sensitive lips
This is the ONLY toothpaste I can use because of an allergy to most toothpaste flavors, particularly mint. The local store I previously found the ginger flavor no longer carries it. I'm so glad I can order direct from Desert Essence.

Loved this until....
Loved this until I realized it has Carageenan in it. No thanks.

What a lovely toothpaste
I dislike mint toothpastes because I find them to be really overwhelming. They're just not for me. On the other hand, when I bought this toothpaste I ranted and raved like a bit of a nutcase to most of my close friends about how much I adore it. It sounds strange, but you do brush your teeth every day (or I do, because of this toothpaste) and it might as well be a pleasant experience. It has a mellow, invigorating (and someone quirky, in the best way) ginger flavor that doesn't reek of artificiality and it doesn't make food or coffee taste strange afterwards. It's not harsh and it leaves the mouth feeling fresh and smelling delicious.

I Like It!
The first few times I used it I wasn't sure if I would continue to use the product, mainly because of the taste but I think it was because it was just different than your typical minty flavour, with continued use I really started to enjoy it and found that it did keep my mouth fresh. I wear a retainer at night and usually in the morning it smells pretty gross but I have found since using the Ginger toothpaste it still smells/taste fresh when I take my retainer out in the morning. It definitely last long, the taste is different than most toothpastes but not strong/spicey ginger, it's mellow.

I have used this product for five years
I love the fact that it leaves a more neutral flavor in the mouth, not strong overpowering mint. I am a coffee roaster and need to be able to taste the coffee, not the overpowering mint. On the down side, the tube the toothpaste is contained in has been changed and is very thin and floppy. After removing about half ot the product it is much harder to control and use the rest. Please go back to your previous toothpaste tube.
