Green Apple + Ginger Thickening Shampoo
Sodium Coco-Sulfate this is the same as SLS harsh chemical cleansers.

I had high hopes for this shampoo based on the other customers reviews. My hair feels squeaky clean with one application & rinse. But it feels stripped of natural oils. I do not like the smell...nothing like apples. Although it is natural, it smells unnatural. I have very long hair, I will not buy this one again. It is too expensive, for poor results. NOTE: I did buy the conditioner, too. That did not improve the experience.

I love this shampoo. It is great for fine hair. It doesn't weigh your hair down, as anyone with fine straight hair knows it is hard to get your hair to stay in any style.
I had been purchasing this shampoo locally at my health food store. They had quit carrying this product, so I thought well check online with Swanson. They not only sell the product, but it was at least $3.50 cheaper per bottle. Sold. I will continue to purchase here at this site and have referred others.

This shampoo goes along with the conditioner. Both are wonderful products.

I have been trying to find a good thickening shampoo, and I opted to try this one because Desert Essence shampoos have the best ingredients out of most of the ones I looked at. It smells great and the price is great, but I didn't notice a major difference in the look of my hair. I did notice that it seemed to suck all the oils out of my hair and make it really rough and hard to comb in the shower without more-than-usual amounts of conditioner. I will definitely try more products by this company but I won't be buying this particular shampoo again.

Green Apple & Ginger Shampooo
The introduction of this shampoo into our lives was actually a legacy from my lifelong friend who died last year after sending my husband and I a box of products directly from Swanson. We've never found a shampoo we liked better and make use of it regularly under our outdoor shower up here at the Suwannee River in North Florida, resulting in great satisfaction and good-looing hair.

Apple and Ginger Shampoo
This shampoo smells so unbelievably amazing. It definitely wakes you up. I have very thin and flat hair, but this shampoo definitely gives me volume. I have tried many shampoos and this one is great.

It's a good product
It made my hair look thicker a bit and it also smells good too.

the fragrence , the lather, the clean feeling of the hair...I just love this shampoo, one of my favorites.

I have fine thin hair. This shampoo leaves it feeling nice and manageable. Doesn't dry it out as bad as some shampoos either.

No Problems at last
Am touchy and picky. This shampoo smells wonderful, takes only a small amount to lather, and doesn't break my head out (which Burt's Bees Volume Shampoo did). Leaves my hair on the dry side, but I don't mind that. Conditioners have caused me so many skin reactions I've abandoned them. I plan to buy this shampoo again, absolutely.

I have very fine curly hair. This shampoo leaves my hair literally 'squeaky' clean, the texture is almost course until I use the conditioner to soften it up. I don't like the smell, I thought it would have a crisp apple smell but it doesn't. It lathers up well and rinses clean but I can't get past the scent. I won't be ordering this again.

This is a really sudsy shampoo that leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean. Did I mention that it makes a lot of suds? When I wash my hair, I can't help but imagine myself with a big white afro. Just a little of this shampoo goes a long way! (which also makes it a great value). But know that it is a thin liquid. I would suggest opening the container in an upright position because it can pour out otherwise. I'm not sure about the thickening qualities it claims to have but I like that the ingredients are natural.

My NEW shampoo
I found this quite by accident and have decided to switch from the frightfully expensive organic shampoo my salon recommended months ago. This smells heavenly and does such a nice job on my hair people "think" I am still using an expensive salon organic

This shampoo is the best organic shampoo I have ever tried. It smells fantastic, lathers up nicely, and my hair feels great. Even my wife likes it and she is very picky about her shampoos!

I use this along with the matching shampoo. Together, the set does a great job of cleaning my hair and de-tangling/smoothing it so it's easy to brush when it's wet after I get out of the shower. Wonderful smell, and none of that residue that some other natural products leave. I'm a huge fan of the natural ingredients too!

After using this conditioner with the accompanying shampoo, my normally fine, dry hair was shiny, full, and gorgeous. I would absolutely recommend this shampoo/conditioner duo to a friend.

Just recently tried the green apple and ginger products, after using the coconut shampoo and conditioner for some time. I love the feeling of added volume and conditioner does not feel heavy or weigh down my hair! My only wish is that it was a little more conditioning like the coconut because I have very dry hair. I will still continue to use it though for a little extra volume on days when I need it.

The Best, But Make Sure you Stock Up!
I'm a huge fan of this scent shampoo and conditioner. They both smell wonderful and work great! It's amazing how they make my hair feel! The one bit of advice: the shampoo goes a lot further than the conditioner (as usual), so make sure you stock up so you don't run out. For me, since I have relatively long hair, the amount I use the conditioner to the shampoo is almost 2 to 1. Yikes! Well, not quite, but it's close. You'll love these two though.
