Cleans without breakouts!
Love this shampoo. My scalp breaks out with painful little bumps, like pimples, when using most hair products. It is fine with this shampoo, plus my hair gets squeeky clean and shiny.

GREAT product for those with allergies
I am allergic to dyes and perfumes and this shampoo works great for me and I don't have to worry about allergic reactions to the ingredients in it.

Harsh cleansing agent
This shampoo used to be fantastic, but Desert Essence completely reformulated it and made it harsh. It now contains sodium coco-sulfate as the main cleanser, and that is a harsh cleanser. This product completely stripped my naturally curly hair of all its natural oils and left it squeaking while I rinsed (and left it badly frizzed and feeling like straw later on when it was dry), and then the corresponding conditioner (also reformulated and changed for the worse) left a greasy-feeling residue or coating on my hair that wouldn't allow any moisturization to take place, so my hair ended up feeling dirty when dry (and my styling products wouldn't work right, either, because of the coating left on the hair). I tried these products a few times, and that was it! I had to give up on them.

Good Organic Shampoo
I have fine thin hair and also hair loss. I am very selective in what I use for my hair. For this shampoo, I need only a small amount every time I use and it lathers very well. It leaves my hair feeling very clean but quite frizzy so I had to use a conditioner sometimes. I try not to use conditioner because it causes more hair loss. I will buy again.

Lathers Well
This is a nice product. I have tried other varieties in this line. It lathers well. My hair is nice and full after washing with this shampoo.
It seems to be more gentle than baby shampoo for me. The formaldehyde free baby shampoos I have used, leave my hair feeling dry and stripped.
I love the fact that it is FREE of harsh chemicals and is gluten free also.
You may want to give this one a try.

Very Nice Shampoo
I was looking for something fragrance-free with my sensitivities and allergies and I was so happy to have found this shampoo! My hair hasn't always been very healthy, and it seemed like this really nourished and softened it up. It had a great lather and my hair felt very clean unlike some other natural shampoos I have tried.
Unfortunately I've developed allergies to some of the ingredients now, but for this price I still buy it for my significant other. He's been very satisfied with how the shampoo performs, and I'm happy that he won't be using a product with funky scents in it. It's still a win-win for the both of us.

A safer clean
This is the best shampoo that I have found! I was concerned that it may not work as well, since all of the more harmful chemicals have been removed, but I am happy to report that this is by far the best, safest and easy to use products that I have ever used! I am sensitive to gluten, so I thought that I would give this product a try - and it is so nice to be able to wash my hair and NOT spend the remainder of the day itching my head! I like that you can open and close the lid with just one hand, and no lids to keep track of in the shower. I will be using this product on all of my 5 kids and my husband - we are thrilled to find a product that really works - without all of the nasty things that are in so many other brands. The lather is just like a traditional shampoo, not skimpy either. It rinses out easily and leaves no residue on my hair. I have very thick hair and found that it only took about a quarter sized amount to really clean my entire head. It did not dry out my hair, in fact my hair looks shiny and healthy. If you are on the fence, please give this a try - one bottle will last for a good month (or more) for a family of our sisze (7), so there is real value in this product. BTW, I did not feel a need to wash twice (you know lather, rinse, repeat), I felt completely clean with one go around - so it can save you some time as well. There is no fragrance, and I mean NO fragrance - NO odd smell, NO chemical smell, NOTHING - it will be great for those who are outdoors - less fragrance (I am told) means less bugs around you. I hope that you enjoy this product as much as we do.

Organic shampoo
I have tried several kinds of organic shampoos and so far this is my favorite. Only need to use a little, lathers well. Leaves hair soft and manageable. I use it as a body wash as well. No harmful ingredients. My husband likes it too.

fragrange free a big success!
My 12 year old son has been sensitive to a variety odors, smells and textures etc., since he was a toddler. We literally had to force him to use shampoo(and toothpaste), now a big deal since he is at that age where little boys get smelly fast! I have purchased fragrance free products before, but everything still had some type of smell to it. I purchased the Dessert Essence Fragrance free shampoo figuring I'd end up using it myself. Much to my surprise my son said he loved it!!! Glad I decided to buy 2 tubes :). Thank you Swanson for having such an amazing array of products to choose from!

very mild
My mom and I both have multiple chemical sensitivities and I am excited to say after trying many, many fragrance free and/or hypoallergenic shampoos, this one doesn't make her scalp turn red and itch. I liked the mildness too but it did seem to weigh down my fine hair a bit too much. It makes her hair smooth and shiny though, so we will definitely keep buying this one.
