Disappointing product from good company
I have used other products from Desert Essence and this is the first one that has disappointed me. First, it has an slightly unpleasant (to me, at least) smell. Second, it did not moisturize well. My face felt tight and dry after using it. And if I used more, I actually had some irritation. And I do not have sensitive skin. Also, I used it once after an apricot scrub facial product and it caused an unpleasant tingling which I never had with any other product after the apricot scrub. I had to throw away an almost full jar.

I like the fact that it's all natural and does the work. For the price I'm satisfied!

Very light in everyway
No scent so you could add your own essential oils for frangrance, that's a nice thing. This lotion is very light, the first time I used it I had to apply three times until my skin felt moisturized. It penetrated nicely though (maybe my skin was dryer than I realized!) Now that I'm used to it I use more the first time and it seems to keep my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. I use it all over except my face where I do need more moisture, but if your skin is oily, it would work great on your face too.

Shame on Desert Essence
I understand from reading many older, past reviews of this product on the internet that people used to love it, and the ingredient list was much better. But they have cheapened the ingredients and made it worse now. The worst thing, which made me decide to just return it and not even try it, is the fact that it now contains a scary-sounding ingredient, sodium hydroxide, which is a form of LYE. This ingredient is causing loads of people everywhere to get anything from irritation to redness and burns on their face. This is the ingredient that causes what Desert Essence calls "a radiant glow." I was afraid to try it.

Excellent & Healthy Moisturizer
No strong fragrance, absorbs quickly into skin and moisturizes right away. I also like that there are no potentially toxic ingredients according to the EWG Skin Deep website. A great price and a great moisturizer! I highly recommend!
