General Description

Turmeric or Curcumin, a member of the ginger family, is grown and harvested in India, China, Indonesia and other countries throughout Asia. This herb is used extensively in traditional Chinese and Indian (Ayurvedic) philosophies. Curcumin, an orange-yellow oil, is one of the active curcuminoid components in Turmeric and is found in curry spices.
