Call Center Representative

Location: Fargo, ND
Department: Call Center
Days of Week: Monday-Friday (e/o weekend)
Hours: Ranging from 10am-2am
Base Rate: $11.50 + ($13.50 over weekends)

You'll be the first person customers hear when they call our 1-800 number, so we need positive, upbeat people to be part of this exciting, fast-paced, locally-owned (and growing) company!


Must be able to make a 3 week training starting July 28th from 8:30am-4:30pm M-F

Currently looking to fill FT & PT positions ranging from 3pm-2am!

Summary: The primary function of this position is to process customer orders and inquiries while offering exceptional customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Process incoming phone orders.
  2. Answer customer questions regarding products, services and order status via telephone.
  3. Develop and maintain product knowledge.
  4. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  5. Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP.

Marginal Duties:

  1. Process mail orders.
  2. Assist with Web Chat.
  3. Place outgoing calls to Swanson customers to answer questions or resolve issues.

Competencies Required:

  • Ability to understand, read and speak English proficiently
  • Ability to provide prompt and reliable attendance
  • Proficient computer and applicable software skills
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge. Maintain an 80% or higher test score in product knowledge through the “Bottle of Knowledge” training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of online and email communication concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ability to make quick, accurate and appropriate decisions

Supervisory responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and experience required. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
