This is just a fun book outlining the life of Jack. He has some pretty good advice for your own health in it as well. Lots of nice photos. June 18, 2012
living young for ever Jack's book is wonderful. at 58 years old I started to juice and feel great. I should have paid attention to Jack when I was younger. October 9, 2011

Excellent General Health Book While I have a number of issues with some of the details both presented and missing, this book has all the general information needed to ensure a healthy life. A couple things I found lacking were specific workout routines - I am assuming that nobody but Jack Lalanne would be able to get thru all the exercises presented in one session - and the lack of advice on injury rehabilitation. The latter is a pet peeve of mine with all the books I have yet read - what is the best protocol for healing the minor injuries we seniors inevitably get when trying to increase strength with exercise? I am sure that I have exacerbated my own injury status with some poor technique but the book really doesn't have enough detail to ensure that the reader learns the best exercise technique. Jack does mention that he had a problem with doing squats but neglected to mention that he has, apparently, had knee joint replacements. I'd really like to know the details on what led to that although one can assume it is related to his car accident. I also wish the suitability for juicing was indicated for all the vegetables. It seems a lot of space was wasted listing only nutrients without enough practical recommendations. All in all, however, the book does present a workable lifestyle for healthy living. I just wish I could have had an hour with Jack to fill in some of the blanks. August 4, 2011
