Is Kelp the Same Iodine as Potassium IODIDE for Protection for the Thyroid?

The iodine in kelp is in a different form than Potassium Iodide, and we make no claims regarding “Protection” for the thyroid gland if it is referring to “Protection” from radiation.  Both Kelp and Potassium Iodide provide iodine which is a necessary nutrient for general thyroid support.
