While there are many benefits to drinking green tea, did you know that using green tea on your skin is beneficial as well? The polyphenols in green tea help support elasticity and smooth skin.
One quick way to use green tea on your skin is a green tea compress. Make a cup of green tea using two tea bags. Remove the tea bags from the cup and let cool and drip off any excess water. Place the tea bags on your eyes for 10 minutes and relax.
For a DIY green tea mask, mix 1 Tbsp. powdered green tea, 3 drops of lemon juice and ½ cup warm water. Mix until it makes a paste, and smooth over your face and relax for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
