Surprising Benefits of Lemons

These small yellow fruits are often forgotten at the grocery store, but they provide so many benefits. Adding lemons to your diet can clean out your digestive system and immune system, as well as improve your skin. Lemons can also be used as a non-toxic way to clean around your house.

For Your Insides:
Drink 8 oz of heated water, juice from ½ a lemon, and a few drops of stevia in the morning or before you go to bed for bacteria fighting benefits that can improve your digestion and support your immune system.

For Your Outside:
Mix 1 Tbsp. natural yogurt, 1 tsp. lemon juice and 2 drops of essential lemon oil and soak a cotton pad in the mixture. Use to cleanse face and remove makeup.

For Your Home:
Grate 1 lemon and fill a small glass bottle halfway with the grated lemon zest. Fill the rest of the bottle with olive oil and set the bottle in the sun for a few days, shaking it occasionally. You can add a few drops of this lemony oil to water in a spray bottle for a refreshing spritz.
