Did you know that a popular kitchen staple, the onion, is a superfood? Onions help boost immunity, may protect against heart disease and boost immune health. They also contain flavonoids on the outer layers, and have high flavonoid content in general.
While it would be ideal for our bodies to eat half a raw onion a day, it’s not always practical. But it is easy to add a few slices to a salad, dice onions and throw them in a soup or main dish, or make onion soup.
