Tackle even the most offensive smells the natural way! Instead of spending money on expensive candles, plug-in units or sprays with dubious chemicals, try these methods for a freshly scented home.
- For a citrus air freshener: Cut three lemons into quarters. Place in a saucepan; fill with just enough water to cover the slices. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
- Any scent room spray: Mix a teaspoon of any essential oil with two cups of water in a spray bottle. Use lavender to create a calming mood. Try peppermint for a cooling and refreshing scent.
- Make your own potpourri: Purchase dried herbs or use your own from your garden. Crumble dried lavender, rose petals and sage together and place in a decorative dish in your bathroom or bedroom.
