Apple Cinnamon Energy Bar Recipe

If you’d like to keep some healthy energy bars on hand at your desk or in your car, but aren’t crazy about the ingredients in some of the commercial options at the grocery store, try making your own with this simple recipe. There are no pesky preservatives and you’ll be able to choose all natural and organic ingredients.

In a food processor, process all ingredients until desired texture is reached. (For crunchier, chunky bars, pulse just until mixed. Process longer for a uniformly smooth bar.) Remove mixture from processor and either shape into small bite size balls, or form into a brick and slice into bars. Recipe makes 12 bars, each at 103 calories, 3.2 grams of fat, 3.9 grams of protein and 19 grams of carbs.
