Daily Health Tips update for July 18:
Let’s face it; bedrooms are where you spend some of your most intimate times, so you want to make the most of your space where you snuggle, sleep and everything in between. Check out these tips for making your bedroom a prime spot.
- Add drama. No, we don’t mean picking a fight. Add a touch of dramatic flair to your room by choosing a rich color for the walls. You’ll feel like you’ve been wrapped in luxury. If you choose a dark color, balance it out with lighter accents like side tables, headboard and lamps and then accent the wall with throw pillows or a rug.
- Ditch the TV. Seriously. We know you love watching reruns of Cheers and Frasier, but having a TV in your bedroom will lead to, well, watching TV. American homes have an average of three television sets, so consider moving that bedroom TV to an office or putting it in storage. For a special occasion, maybe rent a handful of old movies and let your TV guest stay in your room for one night and ONE NIGHT only.
- Cozy up. Add elements of warmth to your room by including serenely colored curtains and bedding. For an extra cozy feeling try a fuzzy rug, so when you step out of bed your tootsies get a nice treat.
- Luxury Linens. There’s nothing like a rich set of sheets to climb into at night. You don’t have to use them all the time, but owning one set of 500+ thread count all-cotton sheets can do wonders. Top with a high quality down comforter and you’ll never want to get out of bed!
