- Exercise and Sleep: A simple half hour walk can help your brain rejuvenate and even grow a few new brain cells. Sleeping, especially REM sleep or deep sleep is when the real magic happens. Deep sleep is when your brain learns and makes sense of the new experiences it had during the day.
- Go Outside: At first, you may be surprised by the fact that people learn better and are more creative outdoors. Getting fresh air and sunlight helps produce vitamin D, improve mood and support immune function. Being exposed to nature also provides a lot of information the brain takes in and processes subconsciously, making you smarter without you even knowing it!
- One at a Time: Your brain is really good at focusing on doing one thing at a time, so don’t overload it by trying to multitask every second of the day. Doing so will make everything suffer, from your mood to your creativity. Doing one thing really well is almost always better than doing several things in mediocrity. Just ask your boss!
