I’m about to turn 31 later this month. Mentally, I don’t feel 31 (closer to 21). Physically, though, I definitely feel 31. In fact, over the past couple of years, I’ve started to notice that I grunt and groan a lot more than I used to.
Climbing a ladder... groan. Hauling firewood from my garage down to the basement... grunt. Lifting my bike up to the wall rack... double groan. Getting out of the car. Getting into the car!
I’m not really slowing down, but I seem to be vocalizing the aging process at all time. And of course it’s all my fault. I don’t eat right all the time, I’m probably not as active as I should be and I definitely don’t spend nearly enough time in the gym.
But aside from getting down on myself, this “getting older” business really makes me think of my parents (pictured below...and you can tell this is a real picture because my sister can never figure out how to turn off the automatic date stamp feature on her camera!) ... and how lucky they are to still be so active and involved with work, friends and their community. Outwardly, they’ve really showed no signs of slowing down, but when it’s just us at home or at the lake cabin, I definitely catch the glimpses and hear the comments that tell me flat out that they are indeed feeling their age... and feeling it more than I’m feeling my 31 years.
Nutrition, Longevity, Mobility... Lifestyle
I’ve come to realize that my parents' good fortune has more to do with their lifestyle than it does with luck. They’re grew up eating real, whole foods, playing outside until dark and staying connected with friends, family and community. So it’s no accident that they are still active. They ate right, lived right and continue to do so.
But just as an athlete goes above and beyond an average workout to achieve peak physical conditioning, sometimes it’s important to consider going above and beyond a typical “healthy diet” if you wish to maintain an active lifestyle as you age. For my parents, they want to keep golfing and water skiing in the summers, snowmobiling in the winters and keep up with the grandkids all year long. To maintain that active lifestyle... That’s where supplemental nutrition comes into play.
Walk, Run, Climb, Play with Solgar No. 7
My dad likes to use the phrase “the next generation” when referring to his kids and grandkids. To him, we’re the next step, the next advancement, the latest and greatest. Similarly, Solgar No. 7 represents “the next generation” in supplemental nutrition... designed for any generation and anyone that has the desire to keep walking, running, climbing and playing regardless of their age.
Solgar No. 7 is the next generation in joint comfort, mobility, flexibility and range of motion. It brings together bio-active nutrients that work to create a fast-acting approach for occasional joint stresses brought on by exercise, sports or day-to-day physical activity... you know, the activity that makes life worth living, as they say.
"Very noticeable improvement. Worth the price."

This revolutionary formula works differently than ordinary glucosamine/chondroitin formulas that focus primarily on cartilage support. Solgar No. 7 targets multiple pathways to balance the release of joint enzymes, structurally support collagen building blocks and sensitive joint cartilage, while also supporting your body’s natural range of motion and joint flexibility.
For the first time, natural science at Solgar combines the advanced and naturally sourced bio-activity of 5-Loxin Advanced AKBA, UC-II undenatured Collagen and Ester-C, with a complex of traditional pepper spices and botanicals. These advanced bioactives target both structure and function of natural joint motion to help balance out joint stresses, daily wear and tear, and the “overworking” of an active lifestyle.
Solgar No. 7 can show improvement in joint comfort in as few as seven days. I might have to add it to my next employee order... one for me and two for my parents. Do you want to give it a try? Enter the giveaway below!
