The summer days are over, and it’s time to switch gears and get back into the school routine. Back to school is the perfect time to emphasize healthy habits, such as healthy snacks, healthy meals, and taking vitamins and supplements. We did our traditional school shopping for supplies and clothes, but I also made sure to stock up on natural health supplies for my kids.
Here is my family's list of top health supplements:
Nature's Plus Animal Parade Multivitamin - A comprehensive multivitamin and mineral is the base of almost every supplement program. This tasty formula supplies the basic vitamins and minerals in child-friendly potencies. My kids always look forward to the fun animal shapes, and I appreciate that they are free of artificial flavors and colors.
Nature's Plus Animal Parade Vitamin D - Vitamin D is one of the most talked about vitamins. During the summer, our bodies make Vitamin D when exposed to the sun. As the days grow shorter and winter approaches, supplemental vitamin D becomes essential for both kids and adults. These chewable vitamin D tablets are naturally flavored and contain vitamin D3, the most bioavailable source of vitamin D. Getting your kids their daily dose of the sunshine vitamin has never been easier.
Nature’s Way Primadophilus for Kids - Probiotics support gastrointestinal health, skin health, respiratory health, immune health and more. Yogurt is a natural source of probiotics, but supplements can eliminate the hassle of having to keep yogurt on hand all the time. These tiny cherry tablets are specially formulated for kids and deliver 3 billion CFUs from both Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli species.
Hyland’s Calms Forte 4Kids - School is a very stressful time of year. Kids can worry about their new classroom, classmates and teachers. My daughter gets very restless during the first few weeks of school, and she looks forward to taking these tablets at bedtime. Hyland's developed this all natural homeopathic formula to specifically help kids with restlessness. The quick-dissolve tablets make taking them a breeze, and the best part is your child will not wake up groggy.
We certainly have enjoyed the relaxing days of summer, but it's time to get back into the routine and take our supplements faithfully.
