Dick Beardsley's Tips on Running for Beginners

In today's featured video from iHealthTube.com, the crew talks with marathon legend Dick Beardsley, who was in town recently to help Swanson Health Products launch his new sports drink for runners. Mr. Beardsley is perhaps best known for his second place finish in the 1982 Boston Marathon. He continues to run today despite numerous injuries and overcoming an addiction. In this video, he has some tips on how to get a walking or running program started.

About Dick Beardsley

Mr. Dick Beardsley will always be linked to one of the greatest Boston Marathon finishes in history.  In 1982, Beardsley finished second in the prestigious race, just two seconds behind winner Alberto Salazar.

 
Retired from competitive running, Dick Beardsley continues to run marathons and other races despite a number of near fatal accidents which led to an addiction to pain killers.  Beating that addiction and overcoming numerous injuries are just some of the stories that make Dick one of the more respected motivational and inspirational speakers today.
