Bio Nutrition Red Palm Oil Reviews

Summary of Customer Ratings & Reviews

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Palm Oil for Soap-Crafting I use this palm oil in my soap-crafting and I love it, because it produces a beautiful orange tint to my hot process soaps. Who says you have to eat it? It's oil. You can use it for any purpose you'd use oil. May 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by so nutritious... its the #1 oil I use for cooking, it may stick to your ribs but not the pan and the flavor is rich once heated, a great substitute for olive oil, from eggs to sweet potatoes to coating the dutch oven makes for easy cleanup and popcorn? so yummy... March 30, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rancid This product was total unusable. September 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Aweful taste and stains everything I'm a healthy eater and after reading much of the studies and discussions on this product, I decided to try it out. I first stirred it up, making sure it did not have any black substance on the bottom - no black substance. Then smelled it, finding no bad odor. Then I put a tablespoon in my morning power shake. It stuck to the plastic sides of the mini blender. I tasted it and immediately dumped it out - it was awful, and I'm not overly picky. Tried to clean it out of my plastic blender: what a mess as it stuck to the sides like grease, it stained my sponge wash pad, and was hard to get completely clean. Stay away from this brand, you will save yourself a terrible experience and the cost of the product. August 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Red Palm Oil I had to return this product. When I received it I decided to transfer it to a glass container and noticed a BLACK SUBSTANCE in bottom of the plastic container it came in. I called the manufacture and was informed this should not be and was instructed to return it to Swanson. I noted that another customer also returned this product for the same reason. Unless the manufacture can improve their quality control I recommend that a reputable company like Swanson NOT carry this product. January 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Check before consuming We received 2 plastic containers of the Bio Red Palm oil. I transferred it immediately into a glass container, and found black substance in the bottom of the plastic container. Called Bio Nutrition and they said NO it is not supposed to be that way! And to send it back to Swanson. SO, check before using. Bio said "air had probably gotten past the seal". Another point to go back to glass containers! October 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Good This is a very good quality palm oil. My husband is from west Africa and he likes the taste of it in his food. That says a lot........a native user likes it. September 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome oil This will definitely stain everything, so be careful. Thought I would try out this oil and it's been pretty good. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems pretty high quality. Would prefer it in glass, though. Haven't noticed any specific effects of using the oil, yet. Tocotrienols, carotenoids, and CoQ10 can't be bad for you, though, right? July 26, 2013
