Wonderful, Fragrant Soap
Love the aroma of this soap! And it lathers, cleans and rinses well. It reminds me of the 70's, when incense and essential oils were more in fashion. Non-drying, to my skin. I would guess that one bar of this soap will provide from 6 - 9 showers' worth of full body scrubs. Well worth the price! Especially Swanson's price!

Fantastic Sandalwood Soap!!
First of all, I really don't understand why several people complain about the "size" of the bar. No, it isn't extra-large, but come on now, it IS a decent sized bar...AND...it was $1.42!! It also has added turmeric in it. It's also NOT tested on animals and is great for sensitive skin/complexions. But the scent...oh my...that alone will give your bathroom such a lovely smell. Of course, this IS Sandalwood...which is an Earthy, Sensuous and Sexy scent...so you will have to be a lover of 'earthy scents' to truly appreciate it. I am happy to say that I have loved these type of scents ever since the early 70's and I adore this gentle Sandalwood soap!!

Love Sandalwood? This soap is for you!
As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the bar is relatively small. It's a nice size for traveling, but for everyday use, I'd prefer it to be somewhat larger.
The sandalwood scent in this soap is quite strong. If you love sandalwood, that's great-- but if you don't absolutely love it, you probably won't be happy with this purchase.
I bought the soap because it contains tumeric. Tumeric has several wonderful properties & I love using soap that contains it. I just wish Swanson's offered another tumeric soap mixed with something other than sandalwood.
According to the product packaging, this product is made in India & has not been tested on animals. It's all-natural & hand-crafted. It is recommended for oily to normal skin types.

Good soap, fair value
I like this soap very much and it is very effective, but it doesn't last very long. Wish the bar was bigger for the price.

Love it!
I just purchased this soap for the first time. I really liked the size, it worked great for travel. I especially loved the sandalwood scent which stays on my skin for hours! I would highly recommend it!

Leaves my skin dry
This soap is okay but not anywhere near as good as the more expensive all natural oil soap I buy. It smells strong, but has a nice smell, it has all natural ingredients, but it leaves my skin dry. I think it is the cactus oil because the other soap I use that works really well does not have cactus oil. Maybe it's because it does not have any olive oil in it. In any event, I am 54, just went through the change at which time my skin became dry for the first time in my life. So I have to use all natural soaps now rather than regular store soaps. So for anyone older who has dry skin, this is not the solution, in my opinion.

Stinky Bar Soap
Before I even used this soap it was stinking up the bathroom! So I didn't give my mother-in-law several bars as I had planned originally. But since I purchased it I used it myself and it does make my skin feel soft and smooth. If it comes in a different fragrance I'll really enjoy it, because I do like what it did for my skin.

Great soap

GREAT SMELL
SOAP BAR SMELLS NICE ! But bar is small and soft so does not last very long need bigger bar !

You better like sandalwood!
It may be too strong a smell for many. It scents the whole bathroom! After you use it you will smell like sandalwood for several hours, almost as if you used cologne.
We like this soap for several reason:
1) It makes the bathroom smell clean
2) We occasionally like to smell like sandalwood, ourselves. We have other soap we use most of the time, though.
3) Although it doesn't make much of a lather, it really leaves skin feeling very clean with little rinsing.
4) It is cheap for fancy bar soap.
