Breath-Less Chewable Toothpaste M/LG Dog
Made my dog sick.
My dog had developed bad breath over last several years. I bought this thinking it would be another healthy product to help out with his bad breath issue. I was wrong. Not only did it not help, but my dog had developed green colored diarrhea for days after chewing on these. I was only praying that it was not some ingredient in the product that was from China that might have been recalled and had caused him to be ill. I had to get rid of the product after only giving one or two treats to my dog. I would NOT recommend this to anyone...This company (Ark Naturals) may very well get their products made in China...Be warned!

Breath-less chewable oothpaster
My dogs go absolutely crazy for these things. They seem to help their breath as well. Swanson has the best price I have found for them. Try them your dog will be grateful

Is it working?
Older dog has significant plaque build up and it doesn't seem to be affecting the condition in any manner. Younger dog has no build up so can't really say it is or isn't helping. I don't notice much in the way of breath improvement. But they both chew it up pretty quickly. It's kind of soft when you get it and both dogs just swallowed it down and didn't really chew it which makes me think it isn't doing much good so I let it dry out quite a bit and they had to work more at chewing it up... just an idea I had.

This size does not seem suitable for a 50lb-100lb dog. It has the consistency of playdoh. The aroma is nice. The taste my dogs love, but the soft texture does little to clean the teeth, for the impulse is to chew rapidly and gulp. I realize it is labled 'chewable toothpaste', not tarter removal chew...but it doesn't stay in their mouth long enough to do any good! Perhaps if they increased the size of the chew by at least triple, the dog would have more impulse to lie down and chew it slowly. I won't purchase again.
