I have this pill crusher for my mother who takes eight pills, two are large. This pill crusher is very difficult to use because it takes several attempts to crush all of the pills. The bottom of this device is hard plastic and I have to hold onto it with a kitchen towel so it doesn't injure my hand. The little blue rubber 'tabs' on the top get water in them when this device is washed. Not good.
If I could afford it I would buy an electric pill crusher but thanks to my revenge-seeking sister, I can't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by swanvita Great device for crushing pills
My husband and I have two older dogs (less than 25 lbs) who require daily doses of medication. Before purchasing this product, my husband would try to crush the pills with a knife only to have the pills break into a million pieces. This device actually crushes the pills (soft and hard types) into a powder, making it easier to administer the medication to our dogs. There is very little waste, too.

I 'LOVE' the size of the pill crusher. It's easier for these older hands to turn on the whole than the ones I purchased at Walmart or Walgreens. Those caused blisters between my thumb and forefinger and could not handle the really big pills like the Ultra Pill Crusher can.
Two things everyone should know though... the blue rubber tips on the top section are very thin and have worn off after less than 6 mos. (I crush a lot of pills at least 3 times a day to put medicine through my husbands stomach tube).
And, I really think the bottom should be a solid flat bottom piece of plastic, with no indentations or ridges of any kind and no legs. I have to use something in my hand to be able to hold the bottom of the crusher wthout digging into my palm (especially when crushing the big or harder pills).
If the bottom could be improved on, I would rate this with a 5-star rating, it is so easy to use.
The pill box under the circle on the lid is handy too, if you use small or just a few pills.

I purchased this for my daughter, who says she has difficulty swallowing pills. It was very easy to use, just unscrew the top, pop the pill in, and screw on to crush. Good price, too.

Well made but I find you have to tighten it very tight to mash your pills. This might not work well for someone with limited strength. I like my mortar & pestal better.

Finally, a pill crusher that really works!!! Other brands that I have used over the years required pre-crushing before I could get the cover on and were difficult to turn. This crusher accepts large pills like Centrum Silver vitamins without pre-crushing and the large handles on the cover give you plenty of leverage to smash the pill.

This is the BEST pill crusher EVER!!! I use mine for my pets medicine. It completely crushes the pill to a powder so I can hide it in my cat's food...I have tried several with no luck until now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrsG best pill crusher we've tried
This is, by far, the best pill crusher we've used. It crushes multiple pills at a time, as well as large pills with plastic coatings. Will purchase this again.

Of all the pill crushers we have tried this is the best! It crushes them into a fine powder. If you need to crush pills to "hide" them in juice or applesauce or whatever, this will be your best friend.!

I had a crusher that I bought in a major retailer, it was hard to grip & didn't crush very well. This crusher does the trick with a couple of twists. So now when I give my mom her meds I don't have to have super duper grip strength.
