Alvita's Licorice Root Tea is caffeine free. Features oxygen bleached, not chlorine treated, English pillow-style tea bags. A perennial herb indigenous to Greece, Italy, Spain, Syria, Iraq and southern China, licorice root yields a substance known as glycyrrhizin or glycyrrhizic acid, which is 50 times as sweet as sugar cane.

Ingredients: Licorice Root.

Directions: The best way to make a good cup of tea is by the infusion method. Place one tea bag in a cup and add no more than 6 oz. of boiling water. Let steep for 3 minutes. Press the bag before removing to enhance the flavor. Add honey to sweeten.

Sweet without the sugar Highly recommend this tea. It's one of the stronger licorice teas I've tried. Great sweet aftertaste. Can get a good 3 flavorful cups out of one teabag if I don't let the bag sit forever. Never seen this particular Alvita product in my local stores and Swanson was quick to deliver and low-priced.
