Orotate Form
Calcium seems to be the most difficult mineral to get the body to absorb, and of the alkaline minerals (after potassium) we need a considerable amount of calcium.
There's been a whole lotta hype about how to get calcium into the bloodstream. FORGET about the CITRATE and CARBONATE FORMS - use the orotate form/s instead!
If you want hard evidence, start doing PH testing of your urine and with the different forms of calcium, checking each form... If you read up on Alkalizing the body, you'll learn a lot about minerals and urine testing is explained etc. Swanson's sell PH Testing tape...
Carbonate and citric forms of calcium barely make a dent for me - I started the orotate form (2 a day) and my alkaline level (absorption level) went right up! I figure I could have only been absorbing about 20% of the citrate form (taken with acidic meals) and must be absorbing a good 90% or more of the orotate. There is no comparison, and I'll never buy anything but the orotate form again.. This mineral is to important to neglect like that!
Swanson's has done an excellent job with this product (and their other orotate minerals).
