Swanson and naturopathic physician Dr. Barbara Hendel bring the European spa tradition right to your door with Swanson Ultra Bavarian Mountain Mud Mask. Made with 100% mineral salt mud from the salt mines of Bavaria, Germany's southernmost region, our Mud Mask is the natural, mineral-rich soft wet earth found in the salt mines. After it accumulates and recrystallizes, the components are mined, finely ground and mixed with natural spring water. Swanson Ultra Bavarian Mountain Mud Mask delivers valuable trace minerals and elements including potassium, calcium, magnesium and silica. This absorbent mask helps remove undesirable particles that may contribute to a poor appearance. Use one convenient packet once a week or once every two weeks. Simply apply to face, let dry for 15 minutes or so, rinse with cool water and pat dry. May be used as a poultice. Free of preservatives, fragrance and emulsifiers.

Use the Bavarian Mud Mask after your sole with Himalayan Crystal Salt.

Ingredients: Water, silicea, chlorite, sodium chloride, calcium sulfate, kaolinite, magnesium chloride, magnesium sulfate, potassium sulfate, potassium chloride.

Directions: Use the contents of one packet as a face mask once weekly or as desired. Cover the face and neck, avoiding the areas around the eyes and mouth. Leave on for 10–15 minutes and rinse off with plenty of warm water.

WARNING: Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation or rash appears.

"Imagine my surprise when my skin not only felt better but looked softer with a delightful glow.

It is what it is - mud/salts - so it is brown coming out of the packet. You're done when you see that movie-green mask on your face or feel it harden.

It didn't take years from my face but even after several days it certainly made me feel better abut my skin from within.

I agree with others - even after lightly applying to upper chest and neck as well as my face, I was able to get 3 applications from one pack.

I suggest storing the folded open packet in a plastic wrap to slow down the sale leaching. This is not a problem with the product, it is to be expected with air esposure. Although a jar would be nice for the sake of convenience, I think there might be product degradation expecially from exposures. And this way you can take a travel packet with you.

I reordered 2 boxes because I wanted to be able to give one as a 'gift" after the obvious gift to myself."

"If you have somewhat sensitive skin like me; you may want to pass on this. I have combination skin that's prone to breaking out when not using the pill. So I thought this would be nice. I tried it last weekend for 12 mins and 7 days later I still have a hot, red rash on my neck and face that looks and feels awful. I've used a lot of Avon, Dr. Denese, Serious Skin Care; and surprisingly have not had a reaction; so I wouldn't say my skin is super-sensitve. So just a word of caution.... however the box does say to discontinue use if irritation or rash appears - there's only one way to find out! Kudos to the ladies who had success."
