"This product is from the green foods line. I take this for the possible benefits it could have for cleaning up my system. Our bodies collect lots of things over there years and this product could possible contribute to cleaning them out your system. I think think theory behind this product is sound. They also sell this from an other manufacturer also. I chose this version based on price, quantity and knowing that Swanson makes a product at least an equal with a brand named maker. For those looking for a green alternative for making cleansing the system of impurities this may do the trick. I am going to continue this for a long time as I believe in green foods."

"I purchased a bottle of BCW Chlorella when my favorite my favorite Swanson's Essential Greens Powder was out of stock. I added the powder to my smoothies and did the same with Chlorella.
I have to say that I felt more energized and enjoy the flavor the powder greens adds to my fruit/tofu/soy milk smoothies. With a pinch of Stevia of course.
As a substitute, this tab form is ok, but too many fillers listed on the label. Back to powder for me."

"Due to the fact the Kyoto Brand is temporally out of stock, I tried this Chlorella. And I was not disappointed one bit. I gave it a 4 in Effectiveness because I don't think it is quite as good as the Kyoto, but still the 2nd best Chlorella I have EVER tried. And that's saying something!!! Plus it's nice not having to take as many pills (these are 500mg). It's just a great product & you can't go wrong with it. I have already ordered some more."

"I DO like the Kyoto brand a little better, but cannot always afford it. The Swanson version is a GREAT deal and it is also 'Broken Cell Wall', unlike some store brands and without that, the body cannot truely absorb all the nutrients. Can't really say if it's doing any good, but anything that comes from plant life is always good for the body."

"I have a friend who always seemed to have bad breath, not because of bad oral hygiene but especially after eating high acid foods (spaghetti sauce or salsa) or high protein (steaks, etc). So I introduced Chlorella to her and within 15 minutes after taking it, her bad breath was practically eliminated. She takes it everyday now, and the problem has vanished. Plus all the good reasons to take Chlorella, if you are embarrassed about your breath or someone else's do them a favor and introduce them to this product. Remember, this isn't going to help you if you don't bother to brush your teeth );"

When it was originally discovered Tchlorella was originally touted as the solution to world hunger but they found it was too expensive to harvest. They then found it had medicinal value. "I tried this after using the Kyoto brand thinking to save money. Needless to say, I was disappointed. It does not dissolve well at all. My bm went from a nice green color (which is when you know you're getting enough chlorella) to the usual brown; and I was supposedly getting a higher dosage. I also noticed I felt much better with the Kyoto's than this...more energy, etc. I think the fillers and binders are what keeps this product from being absorbed properly. I finally went out and bought some organic chlorella from our local health food store while placing another order with Swanson's for the large size Kyoto brand of chlorella. Take my advice...pay the extra price for the Kyoto. It's really worth it and not that much more expensive when compared to the others out on the market. Especially if you consider you don't need to take anything else (though I use organic spirulina and Lugol's iodine). Only buy this brand if nothing else is available."
