For optimum health, the body should remain in a neutral to alkaline pH state. With Swanson pH Testing Tape, you'll always know where you sit in the acid/alkaline spectrum. Each dispenser includes 15 feet of tape--enough for hundreds of tests. The easy-to-read, color-coded chart makes it easy to get a fast, accurate reading every time.

For use with bodily fluids only. pH Tape tests both saliva and urine.

Directions

1. To test saliva: deposit a small amount of saliva on a spoon or other suitable surface. Dip testing tape into saliva for three seconds. Remove. Compare to color chart.

2.To test urine: dip tape in urine flow. Shake excess fluid off tape. Compare to color chart.

Test saliva and/or urine in the morning. Test two hours after eating or drinking to observe impact on pH.

7.0 is neutral. Above 7.0 is alkaline. Below 7.0 is acid.

"Years ago I purchased this product. Every time I tested my urine it always read as acid. it never seem to move. I stop using it, but it was still in my bathroom cabinet.
About a week ago, I decided to throw it out. Just before I did so, I decided to test some 8.0 pH water which I purchased. Immediately, the paper for the first time was not acid. Believe it or not the expiration date on the tape was 2004. Now, I am drinking the 8.0 pH water and testing more often. It works after 6 years."

"I have used this tape as an effective aid in determining my PH levels. It is important to wait at least 2-3 hours after consuming a meal in order to get an accurate reading. Saliva testing, in any case, is slightly more unsound than measuring urine PH, which is best tested in the morning. One roll of tape goes a long way - I have had mine for over a year - and just a small length is sufficient to do the job. The price is affordable, also."

"For those who understand the importance of testing in order to help take charge of their health, this is a very effective tool. It is essential to understand also how to use it. PH levels can be very volatile and vary widely according to what we have consumed. It is evident also that different fluids may have different levels because of the way the body processes what we put into it. This tape should be thought of as an indicator of what we are doing that may be helping or hurting us rather than as a way to pinpoint a specific problem. i.e. I have noticed that my saliva is generally closer to 7, or even greater when I consume substances that are considered be "healthy." In contrast, my experience has been that it is lower than 7 when I consume foods that are considered to be unhealthy. I feel that this gives me tangible information about the effect that some foods may be having on my body and better enables me to make the proper adjustments. I try to keep in mind, however, that the PH level is only one factor among many that may have an effect on the decisions I make regarding my health."

"Previously, I bought pH tape from different pharmacies and from my doctor's office - and paid as much as $25 for a 15' roll. Ouch!
Then I stumbled across this Swanson pH tape. It's identical to the others, as far as I can tell - quality seems the same (both for the tape and the container), and my readings are no different than before. BUT this tape is only a fraction of the pharmacy price! I have told a friend about it and recommend it highly."

"I was talking to a pharmacist one day and she was telling me how a homeopatic dr. told her that you have to have a positive ph for your body to absorb the nutrients that a person takes. I did not know this until she told me. I ordered this testing strip to see what my ph is and mine is pretty close to normal. Without this I wouldn't have known. This product is very easy to use and helps to see where your at. It is also very affordable. Everyone should order this product to check there bodies ph.
