Not up to par
The quality is in question, The color(dark green) , odor(pungent) and taste(on the bitter side) is not like what i have used for many years.Trying another bottle to see if that was a bad batch.

No bad taste or smell!
I just started using this Swanson Premium Goldenseal root so I cannot yet rate the effectiveness and quality. However, what I love about it so far is that it does not cause me to burp up a bad taste like other brands have done; and does not have a strong odor when opening the bottle. I look forward to taking these awhile to see if they do for me what previous "smelly" brands have done. Shipments from Swanson are always fast even on economy or free shipping. :) Give them a try!

This is not a good product
I have been buying goldenseal root powder for decades and it is always a dark yellow fine powder with a bitter pungent odor.
I opened one capsule of this product and the powder was white, gritty and had no similarity to any goldenseal root powder I have ever seen.
Just to make sure I went to my local health food chain and bought three other brands of goldenseal root powder and these all were the dark yellow powder that I am used to.
I have a feeling this product is cut with fillers and additives and does not contain much active ingredient at all.
I DO NOT recommend this product.

Goldenseal Root
I have used this product for years and love it. It seems to help build the immune system by eliminating impurities from the bloodstream. This product is one of the best that I have found!
