I like to know that when I take a supplement I am doing something that is good for me, and this product helps me to feel like I am. I like knowing that everything that I should take together are already in this! I do not have to take multiple pills or capsules, I can take 1 tablespoon and be done - I like that. The taste is good as well!

Giving it another try...
Like other reviewers here, I had the problem of the product turning SOLID at the bottom. No way to break it up.
I do like it and I think that it's working so I'm going to give it another try. I'll be checking the bottle when I get it to make sure it isn't solid from the start. I wish that Swanson's would put something in the description to tell it's customers how to manage this product so that this doesn't happen or what to do when it does. I don't want to waste half to a quarter of the bottle again.

Consistency Issue
I read all of the reviews and was surprised to see only one complain that this is like sludge. I love everything about this product, including the price, except that it comes as a giant semi-solid cake surrounded by the liquid that needs to be bound with it to make it pourable. Shaking doesn't budge it. I have settled on using an extra long chopstick slipped into the small opening to repeatedly pound it until it gets to a consistency where I can shake it and the liquid binds. It is not a quick task. If you could fix this, I'd give it a five overall. Other products have too much Mag citrate (the best compound) for the amount of calcium a woman over 60 needs to take a day...2 Tbsp.... so they cause significant GI distress. This is the best on the market and I like the tart taste.

my favorite source of calcium citrate
I prefer calcium citrate and this is my favorite. I feel this gets into my system more easily for my senior age. Just shake it well each time and it won't get too thick at the bottom. I feel I get more calcium in small doses from this product. Has a great flavor. Swanson has the best price and great customer service.

Flavor Too strong!
I bought this product for ease of assimilation, as liquids are more rapidly digested and used by the body. I am sure the product does work well, but the flavoring is very strong. Swanson, you could easily use half as much flavoring and still have a tasty calcium/magnesium supplement. I find it hard to take.

Big Disappointment !
I purchased 3 bottles of Swanson Premium Liquid Calcium & Magnesium. All had the same problem.
Despite vigorous shaking of the bottle, over half of the contents remained a think white sludge that was impossible to break up. Only about 1/3 of the liquid in the bottle was usable and likely was missing most of the calcium which was probably bound up in the sludge. After using the top liquid, I tried breaking up the sludge by running more water into the bottle - no luck. In fact even blasting it with hot water wouldn't pry it loose. I could not remove the sludge in order to clean and dispose of the bottles !
Two of the bottles had caps that split after just being used a couple of times. (and no, they were not overtightened).
This is the worst product I've ever ordered from Swanson. I can't understand how anyone could give it a positive review.

GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR CALCIUM
I have to take 1500 mg. of calcium a day. The larger dose pills are way to large to swallow. This is the easiest way to get your calcium. I happen to like the taste, and find I take my recommended dose much easier with the liquid rather than the very large pills that are hard to swallow.

If you REALLY like lemon this is for you
When the description said that this product had a natural tasty lemon flavor i didn't think they meant that I'd feel like I was drinking lemon juice every morning. And the lid cracked the first time I opened it. I will never buy this product again nor will I refer it to anyone else.

Too many calories
Having tried a similar product that is more expensive, I was happy to see this one. I need about 4 tablespoons of liquid calcium a day and found myself gaining weight after two weeks. I could barely fit in my pants. I'm a health and fitness person, so I was trying to figure out what had changed with my diet. Then I saw the calories at 40 calories a tablespoon. Competing brands tend to be 5 calories a tablespoon. Now I have to find someone who wants to gain weight to take the rest of my bottles. The flavor was great, like dessert, and I would mix it with plain yogurt. But with that many calories, I would rather have a real dessert and have to limit myself.

Strong taste, but try this:
Better than giant horse pill form, but I find the taste too strong. Last night I tried a TBS in a glass of plain selzer--the citric taste is good in it. I added a couple drops of stevia and some powdered ginger--and really enjoyed it as an after-dinner drink. Nice way to get the calcium down.

Can't take the taste
This is as good of liquid calcium as any, but the sweet/sour lemon taste is so overpowering that after awhile, I have to mentally prepare to take my daily dose.

Excellent Choice
I am 62 years old. My bones crack several times a day almost with every movement. After taking just one bottle of this rich, great tasting bone relief and builder - I hear very few cracking of my bones, which doesn't hurt but the sound can be alarming. I would recommend this calcium formular to any one who needs stronger bone and better health. I am sure that the next bottle will eliminate all the cracking and sounds.

I love this product!
I know that calcium can be difficult for the body to absorb and that a person should occasionally change up the form of calcium s/he takes. With that in mind I first ordered this combination. When I first looked at it in the spoon I thought, "yuk"! But I thought it was delicious and even found myself licking every drop off the spoon! I looked forward to taking it every evening. My third bottle did have the problem with being congealed at the bottom, but I added water and shook it up and kept doing so until I finished off the bottle. I REALLY miss it as I ran out about a month ago, so am stocking up more this time.

Better than swollowing pills!
When I first looked at the liquid, I thought of Milk of Magnesia, and I wanted to gag...but it really doesn't taste bad at all. However, I still get a little queasy at the looks of it, so I mix it w/ cottage cheese, along with Swanson's flax see oil ---delicious.

Good Product, but
Lot# 1111570 1016 Exp.Date 03/11 1266 Product was thick at bottom of bottle even when shaken.Would not mix.Had to add water when near bottom of liquid. Second order I placed was not like that. Answer requested to this issue. Thanks

This is a Great product!
I have always had a problem absorbing magnesium and other minerals because of the surgical removal of my colon. , And now this crazy lemon stuff has done the trick! I know, it taste's awful! But my magnesium levels are rising! Magnesium citrate is supposed to be the easiest form to absorb, so I gave it a try with great results.
If you really hate the lemon flavor, Swanson sells the same product in pill form! After I took it for awhile I convinced myself it really wasn't all that bad. In fact, the taste grew on me! lol :)

The product has a lemony flavor, which I liked, but maybe others would not. The main drawback is that it needs to be refrigerated and might be difficult to take along when traveling.
