don't care for it
I've been searching for a non-dairy, non-soy protein mix that tastes good and mixes well. Haven't found it yet and this is not it. This protein tastes okay, but I could not mix it to my liking. I used a hand blender, but it just continued to stick to the sides of my container and I could not get rid of lumps. I ended up chewing some of the protein while trying to drink it.

The taste is sour
i wish I could like the taste of this, it is sour to me. I have tried today to mix half a scoop with half scoop of the life basics powder veg protein powder and it still is not that good. Trying to figure out how i can get through 20 more servings and not completely ruin smoothies.

trying something different...
I tried this product because I was flat out tired of whey protein. It turned out to be a great alternative!
I have to admit it had a bland taste and a slightly grainy texture but it was still a great product. Plus the price can't be beat.

A staple in my cupboard
Swanson's pea protein is a great way for me to add extra protein to my breakfast cereal. It has a distinct taste so some may not like that, but I don't mind it at all. It mixes fairly easily, but does thicken up while it sits. Overall I'm very satisfied with it and the price is incredible compared to a lot of other proteins powders.

Great Value
I've been experimenting with different protein powders to mix with our post-workout fruit smoothies. I wanted 20 grams of quality protein, no dairy, with no odd taste. We always have a mix of frozen fruit, a banana, and juice plus the powder. I vaguely noticed a taste, but mostly I just tasted the fruit. This protein powder requires must less (small scoop) so even the storage is easier and it is the most cost effective of all the Swanson proteins I looked at. Great product!

Great product at great price
Pea protein is wonderfully digestable. This is an excellent product. Since it has no sweetners or flavorings those who dislike the "flavor" (what did you expect from peas???) need to get with it and mix it with something other than plain water or else add berries for flavor. Any pea protein powder that tastes like a shake has things added to it. If you want a pure protein and then have the flexibility to make it taste like a berry shake, add some berries. If you want peas to taste like berries it will be awhile.

it tastes horrible no matter what its mixed in and it gave me horrible stomach upset every time I ate it.

Good tasting pea protein
I have tried a couple of different pea protein powders out there and found them to be so chalky i couldn't keep taking them.
Swansons pure pea protein is not chalky, mixes well with bottle blender and i use plain rice, flax, or soy milk. I am pleasantly surprised at the smooth texture of it.
I have only one complaint: I would like to see Swansons list the amino acid profile on the container. They state it is compatible with our human profile, so i think it should be listed.
All together, good job Swansons in making another great product.

Worker for me!
I loved this protien option! I have read that whey protien can age you, so I was looking for an alternative and I found it! some say that it tastes terrible, but what protien tastes good? ha-ha! It's not that bad, I always make a smoothie for breakfast with oj, frozen berries, and a handful of spinach, plus the protien of course! keeps me full for hours. Highley recommend it especially for the price!

Versatile protein powder!
If you're used to the sugar-laden isolated protein powders at your typical roid-monkey store, then you probably won't like this protein powder. But if you're a health-minded individual who prides themselves in eating super clean, non-processed foods, then you'll probably love this!
Pea protein is naturally a bit grainier than other powders and has a somewhat nutty taste. That said, if you use the proper shaker bottle (or better yet, a blender!) you won't notice the grainy texture as much or at all. This protein powder is great for baking, smoothies, or even just mixing up with a scoop of unsweetened cocoa, stevia, and almond milk for a post-workout hit.
Both my hubby and I enjoyed it and will buy it again!

great :)
This stuff is great. It's inexpensive, mixes easily and while the taste is bland, can be flavored with anything you like. The big plus is that it's very LOW CARB. LOVE IT.

Best taste for vegan protein supplement
I always try to find other sources of protein other than whey protein. Swanson Vitamins Pea Protein is 100% pure, smooth and has a neutral taste. Also, it is a very good price. I will definitely buy some more.

Since I'm practically a vegan, I'm always looking to get more protein into my diet. I add a scoop of protein powder to my smoothie everyday. There's no artificial sweetners in the powder and I can't really taste it since I make my smoothies with coconut milk, honey and lots of fruit.....Delicious and I'm getting 20 grams of protein.

Great source of protein!
I realized I needed more protein in my diet so decided to try this powder. What sold me was the price and claims of being easily digestible. I use about half a scoop in a fruit smoothie every day and have no complaints. It has a nutty flavor and can be a bit chalky, but that doesn't bother me. I have not experienced any "tummy" problems afterwards and consider this product to be a great value. It's nutritious and fits my protein requirement bill very well.

Good Deal
Best deal ever for protein powder!

Not for protein drinks
While this works decently to increase the protein content of savory dishes like hummus or beans, it's awful mixed with water and drunk straight.

Great Protein For Vegetarians
This product helps me get enough protein in my nearly vegan diet. It's simple to use alone or blended with other foods, or use less water and add spices for a tasty dip. It has no additives so I know I'm not eating mystery ingredients. Also, it is one of the few things I've found that doesn't contain whey, an ingredient I prefer not to encounter.

Nice alternative
Mixes well into fruit or vegetable shakes.

very good product
I am a vegetarian and am delighted to have found a quality protein source with a good amino acid profile. I enjoy the mild yellow pea flavor as it adds taste to soups, homemade tofu burgers and vegetable drinks. It can be mixed with yogurt along with other veggies to make a dip. I do wish it had less sodium, but when it is mixed with other no sodium products the amount of sodium per serving is considerably decreased. Great product.

After using a Pea Protien Mix that was 30 dollars for 15 drinks, I deceided to try something different and found this. After the first sip, I realized it was a waste of ten dollars and will gladly pay the 30 for the other product. It was chalky and had a horrible taste. With not being able to swallow pills, I've had to crush them and mix them with applesauce so I'm used to things tasting bad, but this was beyond horrible! I would never recommend it to anyone.

Taste isn't great
Although the product itself functions to serve as a good protein powder... the taste was so bad that I could not find anything to cover up the flavor. It is very chalky and I don't think it tastes like any vegetable not even peas. It is by far the worst flavored supplement or powder drink I've ever had. My only way to take it was to take it in a much smaller portion than needed and mix it in small quantity of very strong flavored blueberry drink- hold my breath- swallow and follow immediately with more plain blueberry drink that had no powder in it. Otherwise the after-taste had me gagging. Yes, that bad- for me. It was like medicine. I cannot imagine for a minute that anyone could ever take a dry spoonful of this by itself. But who knows? To each his own. It's ten bucks- if you dont like, well, its no big loss, right? If you can get past the flavor, the product seems good otherwise.

This is...
This is a phenomenal product. I was looking to gain some strong, lean mass, and this product, along with my weight-training, has really done it's job. I take it with brewers yeast, also.

couldn't get past the taste
I purchased this protein thinking that, sure, even though it's made with peas, peas don't have the strongest flavor in the world... there should be some way to be able to mask the pea flavor with an awesome flavored protein powder and some fruit, etc... but... sadly... no. the pea flavor even overpowers my best efforts at masking it, which is a shame considering how much protein the powder packs, and it's still low cal, low carb, etc. Bummer. Wouldn't buy it again.
