NOW Beta-1,3/1,6-D-Glucan (Beta-Glucan) is a bioactive carbohydrate derived from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as Bakers' yeast. Scientific studies have shown that Beta-Glucan promotes immune health through its ability to support the body's natural macrophage response. NOW Beta-Glucan is blended into a synergistic base of Maitake Mushrooms for added power. Contains no sugar, salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, milk, egg, shellfish or preservatives.

Helpful While I'm sure Beta 1,3/1,6-Glucan is partly responsible for my overall improved feeling of well-being I'm not sure the extent of its effectiveness. It is a little too early to give it a definitive review. I feel the suggested dosage is too low and have increased my daily intake to two per day. August 31, 2009
