Zinc Balance is a synergistic combination of Zinc Monomethionate and Copper Gluconate in a 15:1 ratio, because supplementing with zinc without including copper may cause a copper deficiency. The amino acid Methionine facilitates absorption and transport of zinc in the human body. Zinc Monomethionate resists absorption interference from fiber and phytic acid.

"Balancing zinc with copper is a very good idea. I also like how OptiZinc is supposed to have better absorption -- it says it resists interference from fiber and phytic acid, which can be a problem when you're supplementing with zinc.

Great product, great price, great convenience -- I'm glad I bought this.

I also should say that I always take zinc along with a selenium supplement, and occasionally also with vitamin E and CoQ10 (I'm not sure how accurate this is synergistically, but as far as I know, zinc and selenium work together, selenium works with vitamin E, and vitamin E works with CoQ10).

Anyway, I use Selenoexcell along with this product, and am very happy with that. Always be careful not to overdo it with minerals/fat soluble vitamins, but use common sense and you should be fine."
