Jarrow FORMULAS MK-7 is made from fermentation by Bacillus subtilus natto. MK-7 (Menaquinone-7) is an enhanced bioactive form of vitamin K2, also known as Menaquinones. MK-7 from Natto is ten times better absorbed than K1 from spinach. MK-7 is responsible for the carboxylation of specific bone proteins needed for building bone. MK-7 also promotes cardiovascular health.

Overlooked vitamin, important for health MK-7 is generally overlooked as a supplement by most people, but the data from recent studies is really promising. It's been consumed as Natto in Japan for decades, with potential bone and cardiovascular benefits. If anyone takes D3, they should also supplement with some form of K2 (such as MK-7), to prevent calcium from going to the wrong places (soft tissue). Price is great, Jarrow is an excellent company, and product is in a lipid carrier --worth getting. August 4, 2009
