SAM-e (S-Adenosylmethionine) is an amino acid derivative that has undergone dozens of trials involving thousands of patients and has been clinically proven to benefit brain and joint function. Found in all living cells, SAM-e is also called activated methionine (an essential amino acid) since it is formed by the combining of ATP with methionine. SAM-e 400 is manufactured under low temperature and low humidity and is enteric-coated to ensure a biologically active product. It is made naturally by microbiological fermentation and then specially processed to preserve 68-80% (S,S) SAM-e, the highest active level available.

"If you have a problem getting a pill down. This pill is like a horse pill. Plus, it's very hard. I tired grinding it up, but even then, it left a real bad film on my teeth. I had to switch to a liquid. I ended up throwing most of the pills away."

"Recently I read a book that talked about SAM-e, so I decided to try it. One thing I need to be aware of is the ingredients, as I have multiple food allergies and this Jarrow brand was the only one I could have. I have been on it for about a month and I can definitely tell a difference. It's a subtle, but noticeable, elevation in my mood. And the effect seems to be cumulative, as I experience fewer highs and lows in my overall mood. The book did mention that when you start SAM-e, you might notice a slight headache, which I did but it is gone now. It's nice to be more balanced, especially when life isn't!"
