Green Foods Barley Dog is the original "green" supplement made from barley grass juice (grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers) with a bacon-like flavor. It provides enzymes, vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, amino acids, protein, chlorophyll, bioflavonoids and trace minerals. Regular use promotes healthy skin and coat, reduces bad breath, supports digestion and helps restore energy levels.

Ingredients: Powdered juice from young barley grass, maltodextrin, dried yeast (hickory-smoked, bacon-like flavor), brown rice, and garlic.

Suggested Use: Sprinkle on top of or mix into pet food. Small and medium dogs: 1 teaspoon daily. Large dogs: 2 teaspoons daily.

Great Nutrition Boost! I am very pleased with this product. My dog loves it. He has stopped eating grass, which was a big problem. I only sprinkle 1/4 a teaspoon, once a day for my 6 pound dog. The bottle lasts me about 3 months. I wish the bottle were bigger. I will continue to buy it to keep him from eating grass!! I like to use salmon oil first, the Barley Dog sticks to the food better. significant benefit in avoiding grass Our French Brittany has always craved grass, green or winter kill. Couldn't dissolve / digest the cropped vegetation which led to clinging eliminations. She has gone through 14 oz of Barley Dog in about a years time and has all but quit grazing, the little she does do doesn't present a physical problem. Very satisfied with the product but recommended Swanson stock the more economical size of 11 ounces. April 15, 2012
my dog loves it My dog used to always want to eat the grass when out for his daily walks. Not any more. The first week I gave him 1/4 teaspoon twice a day. He is about 50 lbs. and I only give him 1/4 teaspoon sprinkled over his food in the morning and then a garlic capsule with dinner now, and he doesn't chew the grass ever and I've been giving him Barley Dog for over a year. My Dog Loves Her Greens I have to recommend this product, as well as Barley Cat, to every pet owner. My dog's teeth and gums (along with her breath) have improved so much, even my vet noticed.
