Title:Updated Version stinks, literally

"This used to be the best product ever in terms of how well it worked and the price. If they ever go back to the old version I will definitely buy it again. I had used it for about 4 years. It absorbed so well, the smell was light and made my hands so smooth. I am so disappointed they 'updated' this product to a 'lesser quality' product even if they claim it is more organic. It's probably just cheaper to make.

The new version's smell is ok at first, but is horrible after a few uses. It is way too strong and has a bad after-smell. It leaves behind a greasy residue and doesn't absorb as well. I looked at the ingredients and the old version used to have water, pumpkin seed oil, and licorice extract as the first 3 ingredients. Now it has aloe, pumpkin fruit extract and alcohol as the first 3 ingredients. I think the pumpkin seed oil is why it worked so well, now the alcohol and fruit extract are probably what leave my hands dry."

"I read a lot of reviews on this product, here and on other sites, and the one thing that kept coming through loudly was how STRONG the scent was. They were right! I couldn't use this any more after just a few tries because the smell was SO STRONG, LOUD and CLOYING and lasted indefinitely, that it really bothered me. When I put it on before bed, if I woke up in the night I still smelled it (strong!) and in the morning, there it still was! Yuck. Also, when I went to do the weekly sheets wash at the end of the week, I pulled the sheets off the bed and actually caught the smell of that pumpkin cream again! I thought it was a pleasant, nice scent when I smelled it straight from the bottle, but it was simply way too strong and wouldn't go away. Secondarily, it was also GREASY and hard to soak in! Even when using a small amount, it was at least 15-20 minutes before it would sink in and stop feeling greasy, and I can't sit around for that long, not touching anything else, waiting for greasy lotion to sink in. I really thought they ruined the product with way too much fragrance (and they called it 'lightly scented'!) and too many oils. Sorry!"

"When I first saw "pumpkin" in this product, I thought twice about buying it. Boy, am I ever glad I decided to go ahead and make this purchase! It has a creamy texture but does not feel greasy. I am senitive to all synthetic fragrances and am not crazy about many natural ones. Desert Essence hits it out of the ballpark with this hand cream: mildly "sweet", like a spicecake! I will definitely be buying this product again. :o)"
