Emmanuel Bronner, maker of Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Peppermint Bar Soap, is a third-generation German-Jewish master soapmaker, brought the family's Old World soap recipes to the US in the late 1920s and established what has become the top-selling natural blend of liquid and bar soaps in America. In addition to producing an exceptional lather and smooth after-feel, Dr. Bronner's soaps support fair trade, organic agriculture and a healthy environment.

"Use it on your face, hair, body; grate it for the laundry or liquid castile. I have not encountered a soap that is as gentle on my face as this. It the closest thing to water as I have come across in terms of gentleness. However it effectively cleans as well as any other soap you have tried. Moisturizing and creamy, bright peppermint fragrance. Just wonderful!
It does have the tingly effect on the skin, so don't let it linger too long where you can't handle it.."

"I could not believe it when I saw the price on these Dr. Bronner's soaps. I normally pay close to 5 bucks for a bar in my local store. I love Dr. Bronner's for so many reasons: All Natural, NO harmful chemicals or parfum and completely biodegradable. Great lather without chemical lathering agents. The whole package is sustainable, even the paper wrapper is made from 100% recycled paper. You can even compost it! If you make only one sustainable change in your bathroom, make it Dr. Bronner's. Peppermint is my favorite but I also like citrus orange and tea tree."

"This is a more economical version of Dr Bronners soaps compared to the companies liquid soaps. I find that the peppermint liquid soap works better if you like a very strong peppermint scent. The bar soap is more subtle, but way more affordable. One bar lasts as long as a 16 oz bottle of the liquid soap which saves you about $4."
