I use this "flower" as a topping for dishes in the oven.
Also as a replacement for the regular recipes, though they need a little tweaking, the flavor is great.

I use this almond flour to bread my chicken nuggets. I mix in the spices, roll the chicken in egg mixed with a little milk, then roll in the almond flour. This makes a nice crisp coating. Would not use wheat flour again for this1

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmygirl Good product for gluten free baking!
Our family is mostly gluten free; at least 80%, so I am always looking for products that taste good and don't kick up allergies. This one works well and is tasty on everything I have tried; chicken fried steak and blueberry muffins! Thanks!

Have been using almond flour as a replacement for wheat flour - much less carbs. It has shown to work well, with a little tweaking of recipes. Bob's Red Mill always produces a good product - and Swanson always helps with the cost!

This is a fine product, and a staple in my kitchen for low carb baking! I only wish it was not as pricey.

I bought this for a Walnut Almond Truffle recipe from Dr Oz. YUM!!
The price from Swanson is great. It's fresh and delicious.
I don't have a food processor that would grind almonds this finely so I appreciate this product.

Great for baking and coating. Competitive price. Better nutritional value than other gluten free flours like rice flour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NanDee Great for GF recipes
I love to add this to gluten-free recipes. Sometimes I just add 1/2 to 1 cup to a GF cake mix, or if I make my own recipe, I include about 1/3 of the flour as almond meal. It adds protein and nutrients, and a nice flavor and texture.

This is a good product, but I have found an alternative at Swanson that is equally good and a better value.
Bob's Red Mill products are reliable and of high quality.

I am diabetic and this almond flour has given me the ability to cook low carb, protien enriched foods that I would otherwise avoid. You can use it cup for cup as a flour substitute. I have used it in muffins, cornbread, pancakes and even found a dumpling recipe that uses this flour. It keeps well in the fridge too.

Not for replacing white flour. I tried replacing the flour in a pancake recipe and it went completely wrong. It was too moist for the pancake to cook and pick up; even adding a little kinda ruined it. It's best for adding to cakes, especially box cakes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by trailrocketgirl Excellent for waffles!
I add this meal to other flours and it makes the batters smooth. It adds a pastry-like texture to waffles and is a great way to add smoothness into cake batters while upping the protein.

I was a bit disappointed in the texture of this product compared to another brand sold be Swanson's. I found for a flour blend, it was a little too over milled giving a flour that was too oily. Perhaps it was just that batch, but based on my experience with it, I would have to say it isn't my favorite!
